Julie Norman Associates, LLC is comprised of over 40 years of combined
experience in workforce development, economic development, customized
training, assessment, grant funding, and professional seminars and public
speaking.  We pride ourselves in delivering the most successful and effective
services possible, for the client organization, its employees, and other stake

Dr. Julie Norman, owner and president of Julie Norman Associates,
LLC
is an economic and workforce development professional with over 22 years
of public and private sector experience in the training and education field with
emphasis on strategic workforce development for business and industry.  Dr.
Norman served as the Executive Deputy Director for the Governor's Workforce
Investment Division of the West Virginia Development Office,  brokering
customized training programs for business and industry, administering the state’
s programs under the Workforce Investment Act (WIA), and developing workforce
development policy for the state of West Virginia.  Over the years, she has worked
as a private consultant for several large companies, Workforce Investment
Boards, and community-based organizations.  Dr. Norman is currently a
professor in the Division of Business at the University of Charleston, teaching
undergraduate courses in Micro- and Macroeconomics, Labor Relations,
Organizational Behavior, and Entrepreneurship.  She also teaches a module on
Leadership, Innovation and Change to graduate students in the Executive MBA
program. As an adjunct faculty member she has taught a master’s level courses
on Organizational Training and Development and Human Resources
Management.  In addition to her faculty role, Dr. Norman is President of  three
private firms: Julie Norman Associates, a training and consulting firm; The Jerico
Group, a warehousing and distribution company with internet-based subsidiaries;
and Juno Properties, a real estate business.  Dr. Norman is also  a professional
speaker for Making It Count, a division of Monster.com, devoted to improving the
success of students after high school.  Active in her field, Dr. Norman holds the
designations of
Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) and Certified Workforce
Development Professional
(CWDP), while also maintaining memberships in a
number of national and state organizations.  In addition to her doctoral degree in
Educational Leadership, Dr. Norman holds a MBA in Human Resource
Management from the WV Graduate College and an undergraduate degree in
Business Administration from Marshall University.  She is also a graduate of the
Economic Development Institute of the University of Oklahoma.  Dr.  Norman has
conducted training for dozens of organizations over the past 20 years, with
audiences  ranging from 15 to 400 people and session lengths ranging from 60
minutes to several days.  In addition, Dr. Norman has worked on long-term
workforce development projects with a number of organizations, including state
